Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information GoZi collects, why, and the choices you have.

Last updated: 8 October 2026

1. Who we are

GoZi is operated by Green Paradise Mobility Services (GPMS) (“GPMS”, “we”, “us”), Accra, Ghana. GPMS is responsible for the personal information collected through GoZi. We handle personal data in line with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to provide and improve GoZi services:

  • Contact information — name, phone number, email address.
  • Location information — pickup, destination and operating areas you type in. We do not track your device location in the background.
  • Identification information — ID type and number (for example Ghana Card or passport) for car rentals and Partner applications.
  • Driver and rider information — licence number and class, experience, availability, services offered and operating area.
  • Vehicle information — make, model, year, registration number, seats and vehicle location for vehicle owners and motorbike partners.
  • Booking history — references, services requested, dates, times, prices, status changes and notes.
  • Account information — login email and encrypted password (managed by our authentication provider).
  • Requests to Ask GoZi — the text you type, used to recommend a service.
  • Technical information — basic logs such as browser type and IP address, used for security and reliability.

3. How we use information

  • To receive, confirm, fulfil and support your bookings and requests.
  • To match customers with suitable Partners and share the details needed to complete a service.
  • To review and verify Partner applications.
  • To send booking confirmations and service updates by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email.
  • To prevent fraud, keep the Platform safe and resolve disputes.
  • To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
  • To improve GoZi, using aggregated information where possible.

4. How information is stored

GoZi data is stored with reputable cloud hosting and database providers, which may store data on servers outside Ghana. Where data is transferred abroad, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a level of protection consistent with Ghanaian law.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed:

  • Partners — the driver, vehicle owner or rider fulfilling your booking receives the details needed for the service (for example your name, phone number and pickup location). Customers receive the Partner details needed for the trip.
  • Service providers — hosting, authentication, messaging (such as WhatsApp), AI recommendation and payment providers that process data on our behalf.
  • Authorities — the Police or regulators where required by law, or to protect someone’s safety.
  • Business transfers — a successor if GPMS’s business is reorganised or sold, under equivalent protections.

6. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls that limit administrative data to authorised GPMS staff, and secure, managed infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data we will notify you and the Data Protection Commission where required.

7. Data retention

We keep booking records for as long as needed to provide services and meet legal, accounting and dispute-resolution needs — generally up to 6 years after the last booking. Unsuccessful Partner applications are kept for up to 12 months. You can ask us to delete your account; we will remove or anonymise data we no longer need to keep by law.

8. Your rights

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
  • Ask us to delete information, or object to or limit how we use it, subject to legal requirements.
  • Opt out of marketing messages at any time.
  • Complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana if you are unhappy with how we handle your data.

9. Children

GoZi accounts are for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children without parental consent.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as GoZi grows. The current version and its date will always be on this page.

11. How to contact us
